This very day Nate and I got a babysitter, hopped in the car and (very excitedly) drove to Lavell Edwards stadium for the First BYU home game. It was a rip roarin' good time. And by rip roarin', I mean hot. "Holy mother of pearl" hot. "I want to kill myself" hot. "There should be laws that if the stadium seat can brand your skin due to the temperature, the game should be post-poned" hot. Oh well. The food was worth it. We purchased "Legacy Seats" (ooohhh awwwwww) this year and that is how Nate got me to commit to going to football games with him this season. Why you ask? FOOD. FOOD. FOOD. This is how it works before the game, you walk in their gia-normous tent, they hand you a nifty souvenir of some sorts and you slowly make your way to different food stations. One is labeled "carved meats", the other "ribs", the other "salad" and so on so forth. I made my way to the salad bar and piled my plate full of lettuce and jicama. Then i headed to my seat when I saw it... THE CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN. Oh baby yes. This is not your ordinary fountain. Today was special. On top of having your choice of pineapple, marshmallows, strawberries and Churros (yes, I said Churros) to dip in the chocolate, they had (in addition), a CARMEL APPLE BAR. Oh baby yes. Apples on sticks that you dip and roll in luscious carmel and then top with the topping of your choice. So as you can see I had a personal dilemma. "Do I eat this salad, go get some real food and THEN head to the chocolate fountain? Or do I get myself a plate of heaven and eat it and salad?" (which is all I really wanted anyway). Well, I chose the latter. Honestly, my plate was pilled SO high with chocolate and carmel goodies, I kid you not, a lady actually said "whoa..." to me. Yes, a complete stranger took the time to stop and gawk at the sheer volume of dessert that I was able to stack on my plate (I know, there are so many things wrong about me, I promise I am trying to fix them). So I feasted on Salad and chocolate fountain and carmel apples. It was delightful. Then when I realized that my stomach was really going to hurt in a minute due to nothing substantial being in there, I ate a tich of rice and beans. It was great. Did I mention there was a football game too? that was fun as well, I guess...

Sounds like my kind of day! I'm sure the stranger was just gawking because she wanted to accomplish what you already had.
Sounds like something i would do. Food is on my mind 24/7 these days! You should have gotten a picture for us all to drule to. (drule?) Good times! Go cougs!
You make me laugh so hard... I loved it and wow a churro with chocolate maybe next time I stand outside and you sneak me one... Yes it was hot and I can't believe the leafs are chaning colors I'm not sure how those two things go together..
So, I as well had the priviledge to go the BYU game. Oh what fun. I am pretty sure I'll have the lines from the bench tatooed in my legs for the next month or so...IT WAS SO HOT! Next time I'll have to party like you did. Ditch the game...who cares about it? Bring on the food!! (Extra sprinkles please!)

I have never sweat so bad in my life!! I was dying. I kept thinking about going to get you and have us go shopping and have the boys drive home together. I could barely even concentrate!! :-) The food was delish! Gotta love those carmel apples...I hope they do those every time!!
Loved your post. You made me laugh all the way through it. It reminded me when I went to cheesecake factory with my friend Robyn and the weightress said she was impressed. Never a good thing. So when's lunch and I still haven't seen your place.
Okay.... so that's what the games are really all about! ;) I would probably enjoy them after all!
Not in that heat though... yucky.
