You will have a baby soon.
Sincerely,
Your Doctor
Ps. We know that you might be a little frustrated because the midwife told you at 37 weeks that you were ready, and you could be induced a week early, but then when you came for week 38 apt, the DOCTOR told you that although you may have good effacement and good dilation, the baby is to high up to do anything and NO, you may not be induced a week early. We also understand that you might be even more frustrated when you came to our office this morning (week 39 apt) and we told you that NOTHING had changed and we'll see you back next week, week 40, your due date. Did we forget to tell you that you might not have the baby until January 10th? Oh, we did? Whoops. Well, that's what you were measuring at your last ultrasound. But don't worry, you'll have the baby SOON, maybe tomorrow (which we HIGHLY doubt as medical professionals) or most likely , somewhere between the 5th and the 10th. Good luck to you as you endure painful cramps and also the kicks in the ribs and other unmentionable places.

I am so sorry! There is nothing more frustrating!
I'm sorry!! I want to tell little one thanks for waiting for her aunt jaime but I don't want you to slap me for jinxing you... Hang in there that sucks and I'm so sorry I will pray that she will join us real soon though I hope your feeling as good as you can at this point
I am sorry. Dumb Doc.
I am so enjoying your sense of humor about it all, despite the facts. ;) Hang in there!
Seriously. Dangit. Nothing worse.. :) Thinking of you.
I know you haven't publicly asked for advice, and I'm not going to be overly annoying - I had two reflexology sessions around my due date. Both my boys came the day the after due date. Just sayin'.
Oh that totally sucks rocks! I hope the time goes super fast for you. I don't know how people can last to 40 weeks...I had both my girls 2 weeks early (they came on their own) and I was already dying to be done! Goodluck!
