After last years DISASTER, we decided the best thing to do was to invest in a really nice fake tree. Sure, that fresh pine tree smell is gone (which is mildly depressing), but at least I can rest knowing that half of my glass ornaments won't get smashed this year. So we went to Tai Pan and found a sweet tree (man, they are expensive!). They only had white pre-light ones, and I wanted multi-colored, but we fixed that problem with these SWEET new giant multi-colored lights that we bought online. I LOVE them.

The decorating this year was pretty uneventful (thank goodness), although Nate couldn't get the star to stay on the tree and then he got really upset that I wouldn't stop video taping him in his struggles. It was classic. Do I do that stuff just to tick him off? You know it.
Solee had a ball decorating the tree. She got really into it. The whole bottom layer of the tree has about 50% of the decorations on it. Some branches have 6 decorations each on them.
We had creative differences on where some of them should go, but in the end, her puppy dog eyes won me over.

I basically just sat there and bossed Nate around. That's all I am good for these days and he'll give an "Amen" to that statement, I am sure. He is so good to me though, I cannot complain.
Maybe I'll get around to posting a pic of the finished product, and maybe I won't. We'll see.

Very nice! I do remember last years little situation... ;) Glad it won't happen this year! And yes, you must find some time to share the final outcome!
