29!

This sexy man MADE MY DAY.
Yes, on Saturday I turned 29.
Not a big deal, but my sweet husband made it a big deal.
The day started with Breakfast at Kneaders with the fam,
then Nate stole me away for a movie.
To and fro the movie, we played with the new camera Nate gave me
(My old camera was being held together with
Scotch tape, no lie)

Sexy man.

Birthday girl doing a classic
"Taking a pic of myself in the car" photo

Making silly faces with Vivian.

Little Miss Chubby Blue Eyes.
I could eat her cheeks.
(Karly and Steve, newly engaged)
Later that night, we went to dinner with Brock and Nesha.
I kind of thought Nate was acting funny all week, so I was a tad suspicious.
We pulled up to the Cheesecake Factory and the wait was 4 hrs!
So Nate suggested Macaroni Grill and so we ventured over there.
When we arrived it was kind of crowded, so I sat down while Nate checked with the hostess.
2 seconds later she said they could seat us.
SURPRISE!!
There was a table full of some of our closest friends there to say
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
to me.
So nice of them.

Nesha, Nik (Nate's little bro) and Nik's GF Sadie
Sari and McKell

Brock, Rhett and Sarah

Sexy Single Ladies- Katie, Nakole and Mauri

Cake....mmmmmmmm

I love this guy. He's really fun and super nice.
I think I'll keep him.

The gang.

Had to get a "funny" pic in there.

29, feeling fine.

30, you stay the crap away from me, YOU HEAR!!!

Things I {Heart} These Days (and more)

I know! I know! I'm blogging!
It's a bloody, freaking miracle!
I miss the blog world.

I attribute my absence to my new house the uncomfortable spot that my computer is now in (I either have to stand at the counter or sit on a bar stool to the side and hunch over. No fun.)
I neither blog, nor read blogs, so don't be offended if I am not up to speed on your dear sweet lives.
I think about you guys often, and think about stuff I want to tell you about.
I really ought to jot down my ideas as they come,
but alas, I am not that cool.
So here are a couple things I have been dying to tell you all about for quite some time.

First:
This bassinet/rocker/thingy
Fisher Price
$45
SO AWESOME
I bought this for little Gigi and it was the BEST. PURCHASE. EVER.
No HUGE/Expensive bassinet that you can't move around.
No worrying about acid reflux, because your baby is conveniently on an incline.
No worrying about them falling out as they get older, it has a harness.
They can sleep in it.
Nap in it.
Play in it.
It folds up and is feather light.
It rocks (you have to rock it, but it's still awesome).
It has mesh sides for breath-ability.
I use it all over the house and Gigi just loves it cause she feels so secure and cozy in it.
If you are having a baby, GET ONE.
Convenience and functionality all rolled up into one.

Second:
Brita
$29
It's just cute. It makes me happy.
I love the new colors.
There's lots of nasty, harmful stuff in tap water and this makes me feel better about drinking it. Eco-friendly too, no water bottles.
Along with the Eco-Friendly, no disposable water bottles theme.
THESE are awesome.
Water Bobble
$9
I'm off Diet Coke (gasp!) Ok, let me rephrase.
I no longer purchase Diet Coke for my home.
I only drink it about once a week
Compared to about 8 (you read that right, EIGHT) cans a day, I'd say that's an improvement.
So these little Water Bobbles are a dream come true. Filtered, nummy water on the go!
They are great, get one.

THIRD:
This Book is what made me quit (ok, wean myself off) the hard stuff (Diet Coke)
READ IT.
Just do it.
It will change your life.
I'm no vegan, YET, but it sure makes me look at the world differently.
The food industry is full of awful people.
READ IT.
The "colorful" language will have you laughing, blushing, and jaw dropping, the whole time.
BEWARE: It swears A LOT. Not for those who get offended by the cuss words.
I bought soy cheese today (I'll let you know how it tastes).
You can buy it (the book) anywhere.

Now onto life in general.
This is a shot of my backyard and what I see streaming in and out of my yard ALL DAY.
Beautiful huh?
(There's a river behind those trees, magnificent!)

For those of you who think I have fantastic hair, I was doing my hair the other day and was laughing at how it looks before I curl it.
I had to share it with you, so you quit thinking my hair is perfect.
See? Not perfect.
Fro. Nasty, scary fro.
This is how is looks air dried.
Funny huh?
(See the bassinet with Gigi in it? So great!)

This is just cute.
Everyone snuggled in bed on MLK day (Minus the Viv-mister).

This is what Vivian did (with her TEETH) to Solee's back, for no reason, while we were in Las Vegas a week ago.
Mean (but cute) little Orge, Vivian is.

Speaking of our little Ogre, it was her Birthday on the 7th.
We were in St. George.
She is cute.
She is 2 now.
How did that happen?
Never was there a sweeter, cuter, cuddlier, meaner, sneakier, craftier kid alive.
I sure love her.
This picture is her to a T!
She is the cutest.

That is all.

Bucket List

(unrelated to this post, but cute right?)

Ok, so New Years has got me thinking of not only what I want to do THIS YEAR but what I want to do THIS LIFE (my life, mine), and so I decided to throw out my Bucket List for you all to see. Since there are SO many things I wan to do before I die, I decided to narrow it down to just 5 things, for now.
So here are 5 things (in no particular order) I'd like to do before I die
(At this point in my life anyway):
1. Run a Marathon (Just to say I've done it).
2. Visit Asia (Never been, I feel so left out).
3. Travel the ENTIRE U.S. in a RV.
4. Speak fluent French like a Parisian.
5. Go bungee jumping off some crazy high bridge.

Frivolous and quite self serving, aren't they?
There are more than that, but those are the only ones I will bother you with today.

What are YOUR top 5?

Merry Christmas

For those of you who missed this last year.
Merry Christmas from the Simpsons.

The New Simpson House

So basically...
My oldest sister and her family REALLY
wanted to live in Springville again (they lived in ALPINE)
Our house had everything they wanted in a house.
And it was in Springville.
My sister has lymphoma in her knee (and a lot of other places too)
and cannot walk without crutches.
So my brother-in-law said to Nate
"Hey,how much money do I need to pay you to move out of your awesome house." (Ok, not those EXACT words, but close).
At first we said "Not interested"
But as the offers got more and more ridiculous, we began to think
"hmmm...maybe"
Then one day it just got to be to much and we said
"That will do!"
So we moved to their house in Alpine with the option to buy it after a year if want to.
Why so fast you say?
Cause my sister (who cannot walk) needs a master bedroom on the main level of the house ASAP since she is in a lot of pain.
So we decided to do the sale/trade on Monday and moved out by Friday.
It was a whirlwind of craziness, but we couldn't have done it without the help of some amazing friends and neighbors.
I was really sad about it at first, cause you all know I put my blood, sweat and tears into the designing of that house, from the house plans down to the base boards.
I basically kicked and screamed all the way to Alpine.
(Jennie: Alpine is in Utah, about 40 minutes away from Springville)
But since we have lived here for a whopping 5 days now, I have to say that I REALLY like it.
Here's a sneak preview as to WHY that is:

You HAVE to see a view of the house from the back.
ALL RED WINDOWS.
AMAZING.
I will take more pics when I can find my snow boots in our mess of clutter and I'll take pics of the spa-like master bathroom as soon as my house looks like a house rather than a storage unit.
There you go!
More to come...

MOVING!!

Just found out on MONDAY NIGHT
that we were moving to Alpine.
We are so excited but sad to leave our "hood".
It's a CRAZY and LONG story
which I will attempt to blog about
after the move.
Oh, we're going to be out by tomorrow (Friday).
Nuts, I know.

Until then...

11.02.2010

Just cause she's cute

She has big beautiful eyes
(and it looks like they are going to be blue!)
Finally, I get some representation in the eye dept.

I had my doubts, but Vivian is nothing but sweet and gentle (99.9% of the time) to her baby sister.
Did you notice Viv's new hair cut?
No more snotty bangs/hair in face for her!

Gigi HAD a Halloween costume, but it was not car seat compatible, so she wore Solee's 6m size Halloween pajamas.
What do ya do?....

Pondering life while in the bath...
Sleeping like an angel.
There never was a more perfect, sweet and better baby ever made.
She's a dream.
I needed her to be easy and she is.

(More pics to come, these are just off my iPhone.)
